Prescription refills
If a provider at Novant Health Pediatrics South Ballantyne has prescribed a medication for your child, call your pharmacy when you have at least a three-day supply of your child's medication remaining. This will give your pharmacist time to refill your child's prescription or to call our office if refill permission is needed. Calling our office instead of your pharmacy could delay the refill process. Our office does not handle refill requests after hours or on weekends.
Certain prescriptions require that a hard copy be brought to your pharmacy in order to get a refill. If your child's prescription has this requirement, you will be informed when the medication is prescribed. It is your responsibility to pick up your prescription from our office during regular office hours before your child needs a refill.
If your child is having difficulty taking her medication, let your pharmacist and our office know.
